ENI ACTIVITIES INTEGRATION - RAVENNA
… realization of 2 heavy “buried storage tanks” in a very compressible soil area …

The project is related to the “ENI Activities Integration” for the construction of a new production plant of rubbers with polymerized styrene-butadiene composition to be installed into “area 18” of Versalis Production Plant in Ravenna.
The main design aspect were the foundations of 2 heavy “new buried storage tanks” (approximately 200.000 KN in an area 25x75 m for each tank) in an area characterized by very soft silty and clayey soil in a “normally consolidated” condition with groundwater at ground level.
Other design units were: 1) Foundations and structures of piperacks. 2) Concrete structures related to the extension of existing buildings. 3) General infrastructure works: Roads, squares and external paving works - all sewage networks (white, sanitary, black, chemical, oily) with the relative structures (wells, channels, drains, greens, etc.) including both new installations and restoration and connection with the various pre-existing sewer networks. 4) Site preparation works.
Andrea Antiga, as Soil’s Technical Director, signed the “detailed design” that was then used for works construction”.
